About the Role

Climbing Fox Tree Solutions is a Victoria-based tree company built around quality work, strong systems, and a genuinely solid crew. We’re growing and looking for an experienced Climbing Arborist who wants challenging work, respect for their skill, and a long-term place to land.

This role is ideal for a skilled climber who takes pride in thoughtful arboriculture — not rushed production work — and who enjoys working in a professional, safety-driven environment.

You’ll work on a mix of residential and commercial projects throughout Greater Victoria, handling complex climbs, technical rigging, and high-quality pruning alongside a strong ground crew.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

Technical tree climbing, pruning, and removals
Advanced rigging and safe dismantling of complex trees
Assessing tree health, structure, and recommending appropriate treatments
Diagnosing pests, disease, and nutritional deficiencies
Operating chainsaws, rigging systems, and climbing equipment safely and efficiently
Maintaining clean, professional job sites
Working closely with the ground crew to execute well-planned jobs
Mentoring and supporting less experienced crew members
Upholding high safety standards and best practices
Providing knowledgeable, professional client communication when required

What We’re Looking For

2+ years of professional climbing experience (advanced climbers strongly encouraged)
Strong knowledge of modern climbing and rigging systems
Safety-focused, reliable, and team-oriented
Pride in professional standards and clean work
Valid driver’s licence
ISA Certification or formal arboriculture training is an asset (not required)
Ability to perform physically demanding outdoor work in varying conditions

Compensation & Benefits

Hourly Pay: $32–$45 per hour, based on skill, experience, and certifications
Top-end pay is reserved for climbers who can independently plan and execute technical removals, rigging, and high-quality pruning.

Position: Estimator/Sales Representative
Job Type: Full-Time
Salary: $65,000 - $75,000, including monthly sales bonuses, vehicle, gas card, benefits, and paid two weeks holiday

Role Description:
As an Estimator/Sales Representative, you will be responsible for building strong relationships with clients, conducting tree care assessments, and offering customized solutions. Your role includes driving sales, managing accounts, and collaborating with our tree care team to ensure clients receive exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain relationships with potential and existing clients in the Victoria area
Conduct on-site assessments and consultations to provide tailored tree care solutions
Create and present customized proposals to clients, highlighting services, benefits, and pricing
Keep detailed and accurate notes from client meetings, site assessments, and project updates
Overcommunicate with the tree service team to ensure all client expectations and project details are understood and executed efficiently
Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and our service offerings
Provide prompt, courteous, and friendly service to promote positive client relations
Oversee project completion and maintain regular communication with clients to ensure satisfaction
Manage accounts, ensuring repeat business and strong customer retention
Maintain accurate records of sales activities in CRM and ensure detailed quoting
Collaborate with the team to address any issues and share project updates
Be proactive in following up with clients and internal teams to avoid miscommunication

Must-Haves:

Experience in arboriculture, horticulture, or a related field (Arborist certification is a plus)
Previous sales experience, preferably in tree care or landscaping
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organizational and time management abilities
Attention to detail in note-taking and follow-ups
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Valid driver’s license

Compensation and Benefits Package:
